Frequently Asked Questions

Student Visas

Can someone else drop off my Student Visa application at the Barbados Immigration Department on my behalf?

Adult student visa applications which are received from overseas students are sent to the Immigration Department by the relevant tertiary educational institutions. If the department has any queries regarding these applications then the tertiary institution is contacted on the matter. In some instances an agent or attorney-at-law may submit applications on behalf of these persons.

Applications for children (under 18 years of age) are submitted by the child's parent or guardian in person at the Immigration Department, due to the fact that the children's parents / guardians reside in Barbados at the time of application. As a result these parents / guardians would visit the department to submit the application.
