Student Visas
Can I submit my Student Visa application or my application for Student Registration in the post?
The application should not be submitted in the post.
If the applicant is an adult, it should be submitted to the Barbados Immigration Department by the applicant in person. However, in the case of overseas applicants, please note that student visa applications which are received from overseas students are sent to the Immigration Department by the relevant Barbados tertiary educational institution in the case of adult students. If the department has any queries regarding these applications, then the tertiary institution is contacted on the matter. In some instances, an agent or attorney-at-law may submit applications on behalf of these persons.
If the applicant is a child (under 18 years of age), then the parent or the guardian submits the application, in person, on the child's behalf at the Immigration Department because the parents will be resident in Barbados. The child is not required to attend in person.
